This excerpt of color is drawn from a recent commission from the Museum of the City of New York, which asked me to document the central challenges that the city faces in coming generations, such as: how it will house its growing population; how it can retain and foster diversity; and how New Yorkers will get around, make a living, and grapple with the impact of climate change and other environmental factors within twenty New York neighborhoods. The 100-image archive has been installed as a permanent, interactive exhibit at the Museum of the City of New York called New York at Its Core Future City Lab.
